Culture and Old/Historical Monuments Preservation
Historical and ancient constructions and structures are the reflective evidences of unique culture, artisanship, skills and values of old societies, customs and traditions. There are a number of such historical constructions/erections and important old buildings over the districts of Guntur, Vizianagaram and Prakasam in Andhra Pradesh, India. Many of these buildings and monuments are being destroyed due non-caring and no one to look after. Some of them exemplify the architectural skills of old crafting and designs, which nowhere to be seen. Especially the ancient kings’ military groups used to stay in such forts made –up of stones and mud. There are even old worship places and buildings which are with excellent carved stones and arts too – our heritages and cultures. They are now dilapidated and if remained un-attended, they would perish forever. Many of such isolated ones are now the gathering centers for the anti-social people and night – riders. If the instances are being continued, the next generation may have no access to such nearby wonders. And so understanding these factors, we thought to safe-guard them with basic renovation works with small investments. All the manual works are planned to be done voluntarily by the villagers and other masonry or any such, we entrust skilled workers to do so by paying them. Thus IEERD conduct few activities in order to protect and conserve them for present and future generations for references and to get into attached with old-customs and human-harmony
